I am a beginner and it was my first time around. Kind of got lost because i came to a brick wall so had to cut through shopping center to get to my car. This is a beautiful trail.
A lovely, well maintained, and lightly trafficked trail. Paved and wide, protected and away from car traffic, lots of birds and ducks. Agree with other reviewers that the end piece that dumps you into a gated apartment complex is not ideal and could use some signage.
Start at the ballpark next to the school and go counter clockwise. GREAT neighborhood asset! Some traffic but very well-managed. Worth the walk. Nice trail. Near water most the way and away from road noise. Would have given 5 stars except for not marked well for getting started and one end of the trail goes through gated community gates which are closed and a hassle to get through.
Was delightful scenic uncrowded easy ride good to take the kids.. Great for walking, talking, jogging and easy biking. This is a nice loop around a lake that is not heavily used. The only issue is it can be a little confusing. There are two intersecting trails and it can be easy to get on the other loop and loose track of where you are and where you car is parked.
Luckily, the app can help you find your car if you get turned around. I would suggest to bring extra water if you plan to be out here for awhile. There are no working water fountains.
This place is for residents of The Hammocks only. Besides that it is a beautiful 8 mile loop where one can walk, bicycle, or run without having to worry about automobile traffic. Use Navigator in the AllTrails app and join the 82 other outdoor explorers who have completed this trail.
Hammocks Lakes Loop easy Length A lovely and well-maintained trail that is paved and wide. Once you are near the lake, it is away from car traffic and you will see lots of birds and ducks.
You start at the entrance to Hammocks Community Park. Take caution at the beginning of the trail as it goes along sidewalks and across roads to get around the gated apartment complexes. The public access to the paved trail near the lake starts at 0. Accessibility: There are 5 designated accessible spaces in the paved parking lot off Hammocks Boulevard at Hammocks Community Park.
All of them are van-accessible with striped access aisles. The trail surface is paved, smooth, and typically at least 8 feet wide. Reviews Sort by:. Claudio Guerra. October 14, Chris Sears.

Bike trails Walking trails Running trails The Beacon Trail provides a straight east-west route across Doral, a northwestern suburb of Miami. Recent Trail Reviews. Eduardo Hernandez Memorial Trail great but short September, by wcexwgsmc6. August, by esemundo Asphalt is very good. For the first few miles on the western end, the trail winds through pine trees.
As you move east, things move from woods to suburbs and you are soon crossing numerous streets. There are actually stop signs on the trail for every one of the numerous street intersections. At the larger intersections there are pedestrian signals. Traffic seemed surprisingly cognizant of cyclers and would frequently hold at stop signs so we could pass. The ride in Highland Hammock is really nice and the ride around Lake Jackson is good too, so this trail that connects the two is definitely appreciated, even if not a destination on its own.
