Because the pilot project is only allowing FTIC early college dual enrollment students and FTIC students who are prior year prior year high school graduates to participate, a limit was not necessary.

Therefore, the State has not yet set a limit on the test date. If the results of the pilot project are such that a State Board of Education rule change is made, the State will make a determination of the expiration of FCAT scores. The State may use the idea of two years post high school graduation, but nothing has been decided as of yet. What are the rules for exemption?

Students must have a requisite score as defined above. This exemption does not place students into developmental education. Students scoring below the requisite values will be required to take the CPT for appropriate placement in developmental coursework or to provide evidence of exemption through the ACT or SAT.
